AMEND the prior Council action of November 4, 2025 regarding regarding a proposed Ordinance amending the Chapter IX of the Los Angeles Municipal Code (LAMC) to incorporate by reference certain portions of the 2025 Edition of the California Building Standards Code to ADOPT technical recommendations to add and revise various sections in the proposed Ordinance, all of which have been uploaded to the Council file in a Department of Building and Safety report dated November 6, 2025, as follows: The “Added Sections,” remove several LAMC sections that are no longer needed, inasmuch as those sections are regulated under California Building Standards Code.
